Warrior from the Howling Horde starter. I gave him full hair (first sculpting work - using green stuff liquid). Base is crushed white stones, washed black shade and finished with still water.

Thats some nasty looking buckle you painted here and the skin blend really works with the muscles! Big fan of the details on the shield. Really well done. You must've spent a lot work on that panel lines.

Mork Tribe - based 7/16; painted 7/16
Order of the Ram - based 7/11; painted 8/11
Dogs of War - based 0/2; painted 0/2
Outregard - based 0/1; painted 0/1
Egir Tribe - based 0/0; painted 0/0

Yes, shield is really eye catching element - Mork Tribe logo looks great!

For nearly everything I use the same technique.
Spray miniature white > apply brown or black wash on the whole miniature (to see the details better).
For regular colours: apply base colour > wash > dry brush with the base colour.
For metals: it is just base metal + black wash
For the shield I just left white undercoat with initial wash and carefully applied red on the flat

Seems I still have a lot to learn about paints&painting if you  are able to achive such good results with simple methods.

Mork Tribe - based 7/16; painted 7/16
Order of the Ram - based 7/11; painted 8/11
Dogs of War - based 0/2; painted 0/2
Outregard - based 0/1; painted 0/1
Egir Tribe - based 0/0; painted 0/0

Here is my leader. I know the photo is not that great. I'm not happy with the depth of colours (she looks better in real life). I have 2 more warriors painted but their bases are not finished yet.

love the slight pinkish, "I'm possessed and you like it" look to the skin.

Fantastic.  I'm going for a mottled, dead skin look -- but this approach works well.

Very nice painting on these two miniatures.

Have you done the rest of them yet?
